DORA L. WOODY, age 67, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, January 11, 2011. Ms. Woody was born on June 27, 1943, in Union County, Georgia to the late Fred and Liller Helton Woody. She was also preceded in death by her former husband, Curtis Jones and her brother, Bill Woody. Ms. Woody was a retired employee of Fieldale Processing Plant with 33 years of service. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her son and his life partner, Scot Jones and Robert Adames, of Lawrenceville, GA; sister, Lorene Morgan, Blairsville, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Bill Trotter, Clarkesville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, James and Wanda Woody, Baldwin, GA; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services are scheduled for 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Nicholas Thomas and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. A private family viewing will be held from 3:00 p.m. until the funeral hour on Sunday, January 16, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
