Donald Ralph Ellison

DONALD R. ELLISON, age 85, of Cornelia, Georgia formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah passed away early Thursday, February 21, 2013, morning at his residence. Mr. Ellison was born on December 20, 1927, in American Fork, Utah, the son of the late Edmond Ralph and Lucille Thatcher Ellison. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son, David R. Ellison and a sister, Wilma Weaver. Mr. Ellison was an Elder in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was a graduate of the University of Utah with a B.A. Degree in Accounting. Mr. Ellison was a United States Navy Veteran having served his country during World War II. He was a retired employee of IBM with 30 dedicated years of service. Survivors include his loving wife of 64 years, Maxine T. Ellison, Cornelia; daughters and sons-in-law, Karey and Robert Barber, Bedford, NH, and Jennie and Delbert Hardy, Fairfield, CA; daughter, Roxanne Ellison, Cornelia; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Bedelia Ellison, Columbia, TN; sister, Carolyn Walker, Vernal, UT; 12 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. on Monday, February 25, 2013, at Olpin Mortuary Chapel, Pleasant Grove, Utah. Interment will follow in Pleasant Grove City Cemetery with Military Honors. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, at the Olpin Mortuary Chapel, Pleasant Grove, Utah.
