Dixie Perkins

Dixie Perkins, age 88, of Atlanta, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, August 25, 2015. Ms. Perkins was born on September 25, 1926 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Vance and Sallie Duckett Perkins. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Serena Turk, Louise Perkins, Margie Perkins, Rachel Perkins, Elzora O'Connell; brothers, John S. Perkins, Young Perkins, Tom Perkins, Robert L. Perkins, Abb D. Perkins and Swenson Perkins. Ms. Perkins was a member of Grace United Methodist Church. She was a retired executive secretary with Georgia Power Company with 30 years of service. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Bynum and Barbara N. Perkins, Dunwoody, GA; and a number of nieces and nephews. Graveside Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015 at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Gene Todd officiating. The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel from 12:45 p.m. until 1:45 p.m., Saturday, August 29, 2015.
