Diann Nix Herrin

Diann Nix Herrin, age 71, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Thursday, September 10, 2015. Mrs. Herrin was born on February 28, 1944 in Clarkesville, Georgia to the late Charlie Carl and Fannie Williams Nix. She was a member of Clarkesville Church of God. She was also retired from The Department of Rehabilitation Services for the state of Georgia with 34 years of service. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Cliff H. Herrin; brothers, CC. Nix, Jr., Lonnie M. Nix, Wayne Nix, Dennis Nix; sisters, Evelyn Wright, and Gladys Harper. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Seth and Melanie Herrin, of Cornelia; sister, Janelle McCombs-Darrah, of Colorado Springs, CO; sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Nix, of Clarkesville; Laverne Nix-Davis, of Cleveland; Joyce Bethea, of Cornelia; brothers and sisters-in-law, Adger L. and Niva Nix, of Auburn; John and Darlene Nix, of Henderson, NV; granddaughter, Emilygrace Mariah Herrin; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Monday, September 14, 2015 at Clarkesville Church of God with Rev. Tim Tanner officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with Rev. Tim Beasley officiating. The family will receive friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Sunday, September 13, 2015.
