Denver Bowen

Denver Gerry Bowen, age 69 of Demorest passed away peacefully Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Bowen was born on October 12, 1945 to the late L. G. and Blanche Truelove Bowen. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Cornelia. He was a former member of the Clermont Masonic Lodge. Mr. Bowen held three degrees from the University of Georgia. He was a retired educator. Survivors include his loving wife of 38 years, Pam Patten Bowen, Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Linka and Ken Barnette, Loganville, GA; daughter, Teresa Moffett, Demorest, GA; son, Michael Greber, Cornelia, GA; nine grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 11, 2014 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel in Baldwin with Dr. Logan Smith and Dr. Eric Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends on the day of the funeral, Thursday, December 11, from 12:30 pm until the funeral hour.
