Delvina Loggins Marcus

Delvina Loggins Marcus, age 85, of Demorest, Georgia, went to be with The Lord on Monday, January 11, 2016 following an extended illness. Mrs. Marcus was born on April 2, 1930 in Demorest, Georgia to the late Andy and Mattie Thompson Allen. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Rev. Thermond Loggins, second husband, Houston Marcus and nine siblings. Mrs. Marcus was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was a member of White Creek Baptist Church. She also served as Sunday School teacher and church musician in churches her first husband pastored. Mrs. Marcus had been employed with Outer Wear in Clarkesville, for almost 25 years and served at Stoney's as "The Biscuit" maker for eight years. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Loggins, Demorest, GA; grandson and wife, Christopher "Chris" and Diane Alexander. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 14, 2016 at White Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Kastner, Rev. Alvin Burns, and Rev. Lewis Fortner officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016 at the funeral home.
