Dean Lee Loggins

DEAN LEE LOGGINS, age 64, of Hollywood Church Road, Clarkesville, Georgia, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at his residence. Mr. Loggins was born on September 24, 1944 in Hall County, Georgia. He is preceded in death by his father, Timothy Irenus Loggins, and a brother, Wayne Loggins. Mr. Loggins was a graduate of North Habersham High School and was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church. He was a farmer by trade and was an honorary member of the Habersham County Chapter, Future Farmers of America (FFA) as well as the National Future Farmers of America (FFA). Mr. Loggins was a volunteer fireman with the Deep Creek Fire Department. Survivors include: his wife: Betty York Loggins, Hollywood, GA; his mother: Hazel Carson Loggins, Demorest, GA; his daughter and son-in-law: Pamela and Wayne Dill, Mt. Airy, GA; his daughters: Penny Loggins, Cornelia, GA; Misty Loggins, Nashville, TN; his sons and daughters-in-law: Wayne and Tammy Loggins, Palmer, Alaska; Tim and Pat Loggins, Hollywood, GA; his sisters: Marie Whitaker, Cleveland, GA; Gay Abercrombie, Dahlonega, GA; his brothers: Reynold Loggins, Cornelia, GA; Hugh Loggins, Arvel Loggins, Benny Loggins, and Ted Loggins, all of Demorest, GA; his grandchildren: Brandon Dill, Beauregard Loggins, Sam Loggins, Gabe Loggins, Dixie Loggins, Dakota Loggins, Drey Loggins, and Danielle Loggins. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 24, 2009 from the Fairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Cook and Rev. Austin Kelley officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia from 2 until 4 and 7 until 9 p.m. on Monday.
