David Wayne Chapman

DAVID WAYNE CHAPMAN, age 67, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Monday, October 18, 2010. Mr. Chapman was born on December 31, 1942, in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Joseph B. and Joyce Powell Chapman. Mr. Chapman was a member of Level Grove Baptist Church and a United States Navy Veteran. He retired from the Ford Motor Plant in Hapeville, Georgia with 30 plus years of dedicated service. Survivors include his wife, Minda D. Chapman, Alto, GA; daughters, Cheryl Chapman, Atlanta, GA and Holley Chapman, Alto, GA; son and daughter in law, Jeffrey and Angeline Chapman, Jasper, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Herbert Rasnake, Senoia, GA; 1 grandson, Casey Chapman; and 2 step-grandsons, Cody Dempsey and C.J. Dempsey. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Brian James officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the Habersham County American Legion Post # 84, the Grant Reeves V.F.W. Post # 7720, and the Rabun County D.A.V. Chapter # 15. The family will receive friends from 11:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. on Thursday, October 21, 2010, just prior to the service, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
