Culley Eugene "Junior" Gabrels

CULLEY EUGENE "JUNIOR" GABRELS, age 84, of Clarkesville, GA, died Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mr. Gabrels was born on March 14, 1923 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Culley Eugene, Sr. and Nora Key Gabrels. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Louise Gabrels, a son Kenneth Gabrels. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church. Mr. Gabrels was a United States Army World War II veteran. He was a retired Deputy Sheriff of Habersham County with several years of service. Survivors include: his daughters: Sylvia Umberhandt and Elaine Haynes, both of Clarkesville, GA; his sons: Michael Gabrels, Danny Gabrels, and Steve Gabrels, all of Clarkesville, GA; his sister: Stella Giggy, Cornelia, GA; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, March 16, 2007 from the Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Connie Berry, Rev. David Nix and Rev. Shane Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
