Correne Murphy Lindsey

CORRENE MURPHY LINDSEY, age 76, of Cornelia, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2010. Mrs. Lindsey was born on September 5, 1934, in White County, Georgia to the late Paul and Fannie Watkins Murphy. She was also preceded in death by her son, James Lamar Brown. Mrs. Murphy was a homemaker and a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. Survivors include her husband, J.T. Lindsey, Cornelia, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Cheryl and Gregory Hatos, Roswell, GA and Carol and Chris Gerrin, Savannah, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Junior and Dora Mae Murphy, Gainesville, GA; grandson, James Hatos; and granddaughter, Riley Hatos. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 24, 2010, at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church with Rev. Lloyd Free, Rev. Paul Morris, and Rev. Greg Purcell officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday, November 23, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
