Clifford E. Smith

Clifford E. Smith, age 84, of Demorest, GA, died Wednesday, April 29, 2009 at a private care facility. Mr. Smith was born on December 3, 1924 in Kay County, Oklahoma to the late Aubrey Lee and Hazel Lovie Friedly Smith. Mr. Smith was retired as a self-employed home builder. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness. Survivors include: his wife: Maxine Smith, Demorest, GA; his daughter: Stephanie Taplin, Demorest, GA; Jeanne Taylor, Clarkesville, GA; his grandchildren: Michael Bestpitch, Clifford Bestpitch, Elizabeth Mann, Stacie Bestpitch, and Jonathan Taplin; 8 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2009 from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home.
