Cliff Haskell Herrin

CLIFF HASKELL HERRIN, age 69, of Cornelia, GA, died Wednesday, June 27, 2007 at an area medical center. Mr. Herrin was born on May 9, 1938 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Haskell Grady and Cleo Martin Herrin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Joann Herrin Benfield. Mr. Herrin attended the Alto Congregational Holiness Church. He was a United States Air Force veteran. Mr. Herrin was retired from Lee Arrendale State Prison with 28 years of service. Survivors include: his wife: Diann Nix Herrin, Cornelia, GA; his son and daughter-in-law: Seth and Melanie Herrin, Cornelia, GA; his sisters and brothers-in-law: Betty and Charles Loudermilk, Mt. Airy, GA; Joyce and Joe Bethea, Cornelia, GA. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 30, 2007 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin with Rev. Austin Ivester, Rev. Tim Beasley, and Mr. Geoffrey Dillard officiating. Burial will follow in the Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 p.m. on Friday.
