Cleveland N. (Buck) Parsons

CLEVELAND N. (BUCK) PARSONS, age 91, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, May 24, 2015 at his residence. Mr. Parsons was born June 30, 1923 in Homer, Georgia to the late Cleveland and Onie Nunnally Parsons. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by sisters, Mae Skelton and Myrtle Chambers; and brother Buray Parsons. He attended Tates Creek Baptist Church and was a member of the CC Camp, and was the retired owner of Parsons Jewelry with 50 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years, Carrie Wilkinson Parsons; daughter and son-in-law Teresa and Robert Shapiro of Cornelia; son, William Michael (Bill) Parsons of Lula, GA; and grandchildren, Derek Shapiro and Kimberly Shapiro. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Rev. Jerrell Beatty officiating. Interment will follow at Tates Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2015.
