Claudine "Dink" Green

CLAUDINE "DINK" LENDERMAN GREEN, age 92, of Cornelia, GA died Wednesday, January 24, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Green was born on March 24, 1914 in Jackson County, GA, to the late Robert Van and Omay Lois Elrod Lenderman. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Green was also preceded in death by her husband, Max J. Green and two grandsons, Jefferson Green and Kevin R. Green. She was a graduate of the Gainesville High School and was a homemaker. Mrs. Green was an active member of the Cornelia First Baptist Church; where she was a former Sunday School Teacher and a member of the WMU. Her greatest role in life was being a loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother. Survivors include: her one son; Randall Green, Mt. Airy GA; her daughter and son-in-law: Sandra and Charles Elrod, Powder Springs, GA; her daughter: Nancy G. Chandler, Demorest, GA; sister: Mrs. Porter "Lucille" Fleming, Gainesville, GA; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 27, 2007 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest with Rev. Todd Chatham officiating. Burial will follow in the Alta Vista Cemetery, Gainesville, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday.
