Clarence "Buster" Tatum White

Clarence T. "Buster" White, age 81, of Alto, GA, died Tuesday, June 26, 2007 at his residence. Mr. White was born on July 4, 1925 in Banks County, Georgia to the late John Joshua and Myra Phillips White. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his twin brother, Clyde White. Mr. White was a member of the Rock Springs Baptist Church. He was retired from Clarkesville Mill with over 30 years of service. Survivors include: his wife: Elaine Brantley White, Alto, GA; his daughter: Cynthia Williamson, Gainesville, GA; his daughter and son-in-law: Myra and Phil McElhaney, Alpharetta, GA; his sisters: Mae Smith, Lula, GA; Ethelene Hooper, Lula, GA; Francine Westbrook, Baldwin, GA; B. J. Tjepkema, Gainesville, GA; Joyce Shubert, Lula, GA; his brothers: J. L. White, Lula, GA; Doyle White, Lula, GA; Jewell White, Alto, GA; his grandson, Christopher Williamson, Gainesville, GA. A number of nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from the Rock Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Roy Rogers and Rev. David Harbin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday.
