Christine Trotter Palmer

CHRISTINE TROTTER PALMER, widow of Rev. Dewey R. Palmer, age 90 of Demorest, GA, died Saturday, February 10, 2007 at the Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Palmer was born on January 29, 1917 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Guy Robert and Bertha Church Trotter. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Palmer was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Dewey R. Palmer, brothers, Cecil Trotter, Randall Trotter, and Richard Trotter. She was a member of the Fairfield Baptist Church. Mrs. Trotter was a homemaker and was very active and instrumental in her husband's work as a minister of the gospel. Survivors include: her sons and daughters-in-law: Richard and Glenda Palmer, Flowery Branch, GA; Barry and Elaine Palmer, Cleveland, GA; Larry and Carolyn Palmer, Demorest, GA; her sisters: Bertha Ophelia Bangley, Monroe, GA; Cora Bell Hammond, Gainesville, GA; her brother: Gerald Trotter, Gainesville, GA; 5 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 from the Fairfield Baptist Church with Rev. Keith Allison, Rev. Milton Harris and Rev. Dean Bryant officiating. Burial will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Monday.
