Christine Umbehant Elrod

CHRISTINE UMBEHANT ELROD, age 76, of Anderson, SC, died Tuesday, November 18, 2008 in Anderson, South Carolina. Mrs. Elrod was born on July 18, 1932 in Banks County, Georgia to the late Larkin and Emma Pitts Umbehant. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlan L. Elrod, a son, Robert Andrew Dill, as well as brothers, Otis Umbehant, Elmo Umbehant, Arthur Umbehant, and Everett Umbehant. Mrs. Elrod was a member of the River Heights Pentecostal Church and was a homemaker. Survivors include: her son: John Dill, Belton, SC; her brothers: Gene Umbehant; Mt. Airy, GA; Glenn Umbehant, Demorest, GA; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2008 from the Community Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. John Umbehant officiating.
