Christina Dowdy

Christina Dowdy, age 38, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, April 20, 2017. Christina was born on February 15, 1979, in Lawrenceville, Georgia; a daughter of Danny and Josephine Dowdy of Cornelia. She was of the Christian faith and known as Miss Tina, a daycare teacher. In addition to her parents, survivors include her daughter, Amber McCorkle; sons, Dakota Horne and A.J. Horne; sisters: Trish Sexton of Demorest, Lisa Dowdy of Cornelia, and Jessica Hill of Lavonia; and brother, Danny Dowdy, Jr. of Cornelia. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Cornelia Congregational Holiness Church.
