Charlie Cabe

Charlie Cabe, age 73, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 20, 2018. Mr. Cabe was born on July 24, 1945, in Andrews, North Carolina, to the late John and Blanch Garland Cabe. He was a United States Army Veteran and a retired carpenter. Charlie loved fishing, racing, playing his guitar, and his grandchildren. Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Cabe of Alto; sons, Scott Cabe of Kansas and Lee Cabe of Alto; sister, Susan Garrett of Gainesville; brother, Tommy Cabe of Seattle, WA; uncle, Lowell Garland of Robbinsville, NC; grandchildren: Michael Cabe, Amanda Cabe, Abbigail Cabe, and Ayla Cabe; and great-grandson, Carson Cabe. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Saturday, August 25, 2018, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia, with Eddie Palmer and Timothy Gerrin officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Friday, August 24, 2018, at the funeral home.
