Charles E. O'Farrell

CHARLES E. O'FARRELL, age 82, of Clarkesville, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, February 21, 2013, at his residence. Mr. O'Farrell was born on February 12, 1931, in Fulton County, Georgia, to the late John Mason and Lula West O'Farrell. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Allen O'Farrell and eight brothers and sisters. Mr. O'Farrell proudly served his country as an Honor Guard in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He retired from Sears Roebuck and Company with 41 years of loyal and dedicated service in management and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his daughters, Robin O'Farrell Pritchard, Athens, GA, Sheila O'Farrell, Miami, FL, and Carol Bernstein, Miami, FL; son, David Todd O'Farrell, Reston, VA; grandchildren, Sarah Carter and Jessica Pritchard-Mangum; and one great-granddaughter, Emma Grace Carter. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Herb Snedden officiating. A private inurnment will be held in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 12:30 p.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday.
