Catherine Greeman Whiteside Flynn

CATHERINE GREEMAN WHITESIDE FLYNN, age 90, of Alto, GA passed away on Saturday, April 24, 2010. Mrs. Flynn was born in Habersham County, Georgia on December 27, 1919, the daughter of the late James Albert and Sarah Johnson Greeman. Mrs. Flynn was also preceded in death by her first husband, Hoke Whiteside, second husband, Robert Flynn, son, J.B. Whiteside, daughter, Geraldine Whiteside Davidson, grandchildren, Nicky J. Tomlin, Kenneth Tomlin and David Davidson. She was a homemaker and the oldest member of Alto Baptist Church. Mrs. Flynn was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Survivors include daughter, Rachel Rice, Alto, GA; 4 grandchildren, Ricky Tomlin, Dean Davidson, Daryl Davidson and Rita Ann Arrowood; 11 great-grandchildren and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, April 26, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. O.L. McCullough and Rev. Sanford Kimbrell officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., Sunday, April 25, 2010 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
