Carolyn Burrell Stinespring

CAROLYN BURRELL STINESPRING, age 93, of Cornelia, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013. Mrs. Stinespring was born on December 15, 1919, in Cornelia, Georgia; daughter of the late Winfred and Mae Davis Burrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Curtis Price Stinespring; brothers, Henry Burrell and Clay Burrell; sisters, Jean Bell, Winnie Lovell, and Annie Ruth Burrell; and grandson, Matthew Dockins. Mrs. Stinespring was a retired employee of Gold's Department Store with many years of service. She was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church. Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy and Sam Pittard, Hoschton, GA and Mary and Bill Cox, Burns, TN; sons and daughters-in-law, Curtis and Carolyn Stinespring, Turnerville, GA, Fred and Margaret Stinespring, Mt. Airy, GA, and David and Joy Stinespring, Baldwin, GA; sister, Betty Brannen, Atlanta, GA; brother, Wallace Burrell, Atlanta, GA; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, 2013, at Cornelia United Methodist Church with Dr. James Hughes officiating. Interment will follow in Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m. on Friday, March 29, 2013, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia.
