Carolyn Moss Mooney

Carolyn Moss Mooney, born on August 5, 1938, in Toccoa, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2024.

She was the beloved daughter of Lake and Lois Crisp and was one of four siblings: Clarence, Florence, and Kate.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved first husband, Lowell Thomas Moss with whom she was married to for 42 years. She later met and married Ermel Mooney with whom she shared 15 years of love and companionship until her passing.

Carolyn's life was a testament to the values of family, kindness, and resilience. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, love for her family, and the many lives she touched throughout her life. Her presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Ermel Mooney, and her sister Kate Esparza.

A gratitude of thanks for the many hands and hearts that cared for her during her years of illness: Sherri Gabriel, Laurie Chapman, Nancy Mendez, Danielle Riley, Gaby Mejia, Gali Cortez, and Tammy High.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel with Pastor Ramon Esparza and Pastor Jeff Crook officiating. Interment will follow at the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor David Crisp officiating.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2024 at the funeral home prior to the service.
