Carolyn S. Church Lee

Carolyn S. Church Lee, age 77 of Clarkesville, Georgia, died Wednesday April 25, 2007 at her residence. Mrs. Lee was born in Rabun County, Georgia on June 24, 1929 to the late Cephus Melton Shirley and Grace Mitchell Shirley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Morris Lee; two step-daughters: Patricia Ann Carlan and Nacy Rebecca Pahl. She was a member of the Wiley Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Lee was a homemaker and was formerly employed with Clarkesville Mill. Survivors include; her step-sons-in-law: Herman Carlan, Clarkesville, Georgia and Robert "Bob" Pahl; two sisters: Mary Louise Caudell, Baldwin, Georgia, and Catherine June Loudermilk, Macon, Georgia and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services are 11:00 am Saturday, April 28, 2007 Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. James Turpen and Rev. Mickey Umbehant officiating. Burial will follow in Clarkesville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 PM Friday, April 27, 2007 from the funeral home.
