Carolyn Canup

Carolyn Williams Canup, age 72, of Alto, Georgia passed away on Thursday, May 28, 2020. Mrs. Canup was born on May 19, 1948 in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Doyle and Sally Tench Williams. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Tommy Williams, Alvin Williams; sisters, Ruth Thomas, Ethel Rickman, Joann Moore, and Coralee Key. She was a member of Double Springs Baptist Church. Carolyn served as a cook many different places around Habersham County. She then served as a Caregiver to many people for over 10 years. Carolyn loved large family gatherings, she was always full of life and showed great care to all those who knew her. Survivors include her loving husband of 36 years, Donald Canup, of Alto; brother, Junior Williams, of Demorest; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Whitfield Funeral Homes & Crematory, North Chapel at 245 Central Avenue, Demorest, Georgia 30535.
