Carl Dean Helton

Carl Dean Helton, age 77, of Mount Airy, Georgia, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 11, 2021. Mr. Helton was born on November 29, 1943, in Cleveland, Georgia, tothe late Henry and Sara Helton. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife of fifty three years, Lucille Chastain Helton;sister;Jean Adams; and two grandchildren, Alexandria Dawn Helton and Austin Scott Helton. Mr. Helton was retired from the Habersham County Road Department with twenty-two years of loyal and dedicated service.He attended Mt. Airy Baptist Church. Survivors include his son and daughter-in-law, Wesley Scott and Dawn Helton. Clarkesville, Georgia; sister, Irene Spencer, Cleveland, Georgia. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AMWednesday, September 15, 2021, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, with the Rev. Kenneth McEntire and Rev. Butch Franklin officiating.Interment will follow in the Burch Cemetery, Hiawassee, Georgia.
