Captain Robert Reaghard

CAPTAIN ROBERT REAGHARD, age 67, of Commerce, Georgia passed away on Thursday, December 16, 2010, at a private care facility following an extended illness. Captain Reaghard was born in Butler County, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on April 8, 1943, to the late Albert A. and Margaret Reaghard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Jo Reaghard. Captain Reaghard was of the Catholic faith. He was a supervisor with Fieldale Corporation with over 37 years of dedicated service and was with the Baldwin City Police Department for 22 years with the rank of Captain. Survivors include partner and caregiver, Edna M. Hix, Commerce, GA; daughters, Margaret Guzzardo, Tracie Stancil, and Rebecca Campbell; sons, Albert Reaghard and Stanley Stancil; sister, Mary Maietta, Pittsburgh, PA; brothers, William Reaghard and Edward Reaghard, both of Pittsburgh, PA; 7 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, December 19, 2010, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rev. Craig Lee officiating. Interment will follow in the Baldwin City Cemetery with Chief Rick Darby officiating with full law enforcement honors. The family will receive friends from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., Saturday, December 18, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
