Bruce Brown

BRUCE BROWN, age 87, passed away peacefully at his residence on Wednesday, January 30, 2013. Born in Cornelia he was the last surviving son of J.M Brown and Flora Bradley Brown. He was a United States Navy Veteran and a Master Mason. He traveled the state working for the Georgia Department of Corrections. Upon retirement, he returned to his farm to raise game chickens, cattle, horses and mules. Throughout his life he enjoyed sign painting but his biggest joy was raising and training German Shepherd Dogs. He is survived by his wife, Mary H. Brown and children Susan and Roger Mathews, Rhonda and Michael Cleveland, Coart and Lori Ramey, and Allison and Steve Massey. He was especially close to his nephew Bradley Brown and his friends Jack Glaze and Gerardo Diaz. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, February 1, 2013, 1 p.m., at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
