Brian George Downer

Brian George Downer, age of 39, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Sunday, July 26, 2009 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Downer was born on September 8, 1969 in Habersham County, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his fathers, Harry Downer and Woodrow Flanagan. Mr. Downer was a member of the Mt. View Baptist Church and was a former landscaping worker. Survivors include: his mother: Patsy English Downer, Cornelia, GA; his daughter: Halley Breanna Downer, Cleveland, GA; his sons: Michael Marvin Downer and Tyler Evan Downer, both of Cornelia, GA; his sister: Pamela Downer Kinney, Cornelia, GA; his step-brothers: Thomas Mitchel Downer and William Douglas Downer, both of Cornelia, GA. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 30, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia with Rev. James Harvey and Rev. Racheo Lacey officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. View Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 6 until 9 p.m. on Wednesday.
