Billy Sam Barnette

BILLY SAM BARNETTE, age 77, of Demorest, Georgia and formerly of Braselton, Georgia passed away on Friday, April 27, 2012, at Stephens County Hospital. Mr. Barnette was born in Jackson County, Georgia on October 21, 1934, to the late Ralph and Effie Bond Barnette. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Melissa Barnette. Mr. Barnette was a member of Cool Springs United Methodist Church. He served as a music director for the Lord for 35 years. He retired from Pet Milk Company with 38 ½ years of service. Survivors include wife, Betty Ivie Barnette, Demorest, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Tracey Barnette, Flowery Branch, GA and Timmy and Linda Barnette, Gainesville, GA; Ted Barnette, Auburn, GA, eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled for 11 a.m., Monday, April 30, 2012, at Barrow Memorial Gardens, Winder, GA with Rev. Roy G. Rogers officiating.
