Billy Claxton Duckworth

BILLY CLAXTON DUCKWORTH, age 65, of Mt. Airy, GA, passed away on Monday, December 15, 2008. Mr. Duckworth was born on February 24, 1943 in Union County, Georgia to the late Sherman and Fannie Young Duckworth. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Myrtle Blalock. He was a member of The Bridge Worship Center and was a man who loved the Lord. Mr. Duckworth was retired from Scovill Manufacturing with 21 years of service. Survivors include: his daughter and son-in-law: Teresa and Ken French, Toccoa, GA; his son: Kenny Duckworth, Blairsville, GA; his sons and daughters-in-law: Sidney and Wendy Duckworth, and Jackson and Allana Duckworth, all of Demorest, GA; his brothers and sisters-in-law: Junior and Faye Duckworth, and Charles and Linda Duckworth, all of Blairsville, GA; 19 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Mickey Umbehant and Rev. Bill Trotter officiating. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 18, 2008 from the Harmony Grove Baptist Church Cemetery, Blairsville, Georgia.
