Billy Allen Dodd

Billy Allen Dodd, age 86, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. Mr. Dodd was born March 28, 1928 in Habersham County, to the late Henry Lewis and Bertha Franklin Dodd. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Leola Duvall, Barbara Andrews, Betty McCurry; brother, Henry Lewis Dodd, Jr.; granddaughter, Inez Dodd. Mr. Dodd was a United States Air Force Veteran. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church. Survivors include his loving wife of 62 years, Betty Smith Dodd, Mt. Airy; daughters and sons in law, Teresa and Rodney Hanson, Mt. Airy, Donna and O.H. Frady, Eastanollee; sons and daughters in law, Daniel and Rhonda Dodd, Mt. Airy, Roger and Darlene Dodd, Mt. Airy, Tony and Annie Dodd, Toccoa, William and Jeanie Dodd, Clarkesville; sister, Genell (Wood) Bryant, Clarkesville; brothers, Victor Dodd, Mt. Airy, Jack Dodd, Gainesville; twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren. Memorial services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at Chopped Oak Baptist Church with Rev. Scott Shelton officiating.
