Bill C. Savage

Bill C. Savage, age 78, of Demorest, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 10, 2017, following a sudden illness. Mr. Savage was born on April 5, 1938, in Gainesville, Georgia. He was preceded in death by his father, Grover C. Savage; mother, Ulma G. Savage; and sister, Ernestine Hooper. Bill was a veteran of the United States Navy. He was an electrician his entire working career. He started with his Navy enlistment as an electrician and continued on until his retirement from the State of Georgia. Mr. Savage was of the Holiness faith. Survivors include his wife, Pat Brewer Savage, Demorest; brother, Roy Savage, Gainesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services are scheduled for 3:00 pm on Sunday, January 15, 2017, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia, with Rev. Ed Brewer officiating. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard. The family will receive friends from 6-8 pm on Saturday, January 14, 2017, at the funeral home. Flowers are accepted or donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.
