Bill J. Pipkin

Bill J. Pipkin, age 74, of Alto, GA, died Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the residence following an extended illness. Mr. Pipkin was born on December 10, 1934 in Hannibal, MO to the late Gus and Vera Virginia Robb Pipkin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Pipkin, his grandson, George Allen DeVerger, and his brothers, Jimmy Pipkin, Sr. and Butch Pipkin. Mr. Pipkin was of the Catholic faith and was retired from American Woodmart in Toccoa. Survivors include: his step-son and daughter-in-law: Larry and Brenda DeVerger, Mt. Airy, GA; his sister and brother-in-law: Jenny and Garry Mayfield, Dallas, TX; his sister: Bonny Jensen, Hannibal, MO; his endearing friends: Donald and Carolyn Canup, Alto, GA; his grandchildren: Tom DeVerger; Samantha and Phillip Turner; his great-grandchildren: Alexis Turner and Kassidy Turner. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2009 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia. Interment will follow in Yonah Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the North Chapel from 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Saturday. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, Georgia.
