BILL MORRIS, age 84, of Alto, GA, died Monday, February, 11, 2008 at his residence. Mr. Morris was born on December 6, 1923 in Stephens County, Georgia. He was the son of the late Amos Allen and Mollie Ruth Jackson Morris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Mildred Hall Morris, his second wife, Velma Inez Prescott Morris, and a brother Cy "Tubby" Morris. Mr. Morris was a member of the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Lula, GA. He was a truck driver with 35 years of service and was employed with Whitfield Funeral Home with 22 years of dedicated service. Survivors include: his step-daughters: Phyllis Free, Folkston, GA; Mary Adams, Toccoa, GA; his son: Edward Hall, Acworth, GA; his step-sons: Darrell Edenfield, Homer, GA; Pete Edenfield, Jacksonville, FL; Rod Johnson, Charleston, SC; his brother: Allen Morris, Cornelia, GA; Special Nephew: Mack Morris, Lula, GA; Several grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 13, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Darvin Slaton, Rev. Jewell Thomas, and Herb Snedden officiating. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery, Lula, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday. ARRANGEMENTS ARE IN THE CARE OF WHITFIELD FUNERAL HOME, SOUTH CHAPEL, BALDWIN, GEORGIA.
