Bill Long

WILLIAM ROBERT "BILL" LONG, age 87, of Cornelia, Georgia, died Saturday, May 30, 2009 at the Habersham County Medical Center. Mr. Long was born on May 5, 1922 in Ducktown, Tennessee to the late Herbert and Belle Cole Long. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Long, and a great-grandson, Tyler Pruitt. Mr. Long was a member of the Cornelia Christian Church and was a retired mechanic. Survivors include: his daughters and sons-in-law: Susie and Johnny Watts and Polly and Bryant Shedd, all of Cornelia, GA; 8 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 1, 2009 at the Level Grove Cemetery with Dr. Tom Mewborn officiating.
