Betty Ruth Franklin

BETTY RUTH FRANKLIN, age 64, of Mt. Airy, Georgia, passed away on Friday, December 7, 2012, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. Mrs. Franklin was born on November 16, 1948, in Habersham County, Georgia, to the late James Landon and Daisy Bramlett Franklin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jim Franklin. Mrs. Franklin was employed with Mt. Vernon Mills and formerly employed with Chicopee Manufacturing for a number of years. Survivors include her husband, Bud Smith, Mt. Airy, GA; grandchildren, Auston Shook, Cale Shook, Christina Smith, and Clara Smith; and special cousins, Brenda Mazzarollo, Alto, GA and Chad Gibson. Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 10, 2012, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Larry Free and Mr. Jeff Echols officiating. Interment will be in Welcome Home Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, December 9, 2012, at the funeral home.
