Betty Palmer

Betty Palmer, age 76 of Cornelia, GA died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at her residence. Mrs. Palmer was born in Banks County on January 14, 1932 to the late Hubert and Callie Westmoreland Carpenter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Palmer. Mrs. Palmer was also preceded in death by her brothers, Clarence, Clyde, and Ulysess Carpenter. She was a member at the Light House Baptist Church and formerly owned and operated Charlies Quick Shop. Survivors include son, Shane Palmer, Clayton, GA and 3 grandchildren. She is the last of her immediate family. Funeral service will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, January 22, 2008 from the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Charles Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery. The Family will receive friends from 6-9 pm Monday, at the funeral home. Arrangements are in the care of the Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA.
