Betty Lou Pond

BETTY LOU POND, age 92, of Alto, Georgia, formerly of Conyers, Georgia and Augusta, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 13, 2010, at her residence following a brief illness. Mrs. Pond was born on October 26, 1917, in McDuffie County, Georgia to the late Clara Guy. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Pond and sister, Clyde Breedlove. She was of the Baptist faith, a homemaker, and a very dedicated mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Survivors include her daughter, Glenda Echols, Alto, GA; son and daughter-in-law, John and Jeannie Pond, Cumming, GA; 3 grandchildren and their spouses, Tammy and Brooke Brittinger, Charlie and Edie Spence, and John, Jr. and Maryann Pond; and 8 great-grandchildren, Beau and Clay Brittinger, Josie and Noah Spence, and Cameron, Michelle, Isaac, and Nikao Pond. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 15, 2010, at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Augusta, Georgia.
