Betty Jo Boggs Lewallen

BETTY JO BOGGS LEWALLEN, age 68, of Baldwin, Georgia passed away on Saturday, January 8, 2011, at Habersham County Medical Center following a sudden illness. Mrs. Lewallen was born on July 25, 1942, in Habersham County, Georgia to the late Joe and Cora Lea Barnes Boggs. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Lewallen, sister, Helen Ivie, and son, Floyd Lewallen. Mrs. Lewallen was of the Baptist faith and a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Lynn Canup, Alpharetta, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Joey and Cherry Lewallen, Jefferson, GA; sons, Glenn Lewallen, Chamblee, GA, Ricky Joe Lewallen, Baldwin, GA, and Richard Lewallen; and 5 grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in the Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
