BETTY JEAN PAYNE GOODSON, age 78, of Baldwin, GA, passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010. Mrs. Goodson was born in Habersham County on February 1, 1932, to the late Henry and Florence Parker Payne. She was also preceded death by husband, Leon Goodson, sister, Lola Mae Smith, brothers, William, John Henry and Lincoln Payne. She was a member of Alto C.H. Church and a homemaker. Survivors include daughters, Karen Goodson, Baldwin, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Greg Parker, Baldwin, GA; sister, Annie Bell Ivester, Baldwin, GA; brother, James Payne, Baldwin, GA; 3 grandchildren, Holly and Chris Woods, Mandy and J.D. Dalton and Clyde Parker; 2 great-grandchildren, Cheyane Dalton and Montana Dalton. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, 2010, at the Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA with Rachel Hooper and Donald Wade officiating.
