Beatrice West Barrett

Beatrice West Barrett, age 86, of Mt. Airy, Georgia passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2010, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following an extended illness. Mrs. Barrett was born on April 12, 1924, in Lothair, Kentucky to the late Robert E. and Louise Frazier West. She was also preceded in death by her husband, John Floyd Barrett and her brother, Robert E. West, Jr. Mrs. Barrett was a member of Level Grove Baptist church and she was a full time homemaker. Survivors include sons, Parris Barrett, Palestine, Texas, Stan Barrett, Greenville, North Carolina, and Lynn Barrett, Lakeland, Florida; 9 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 10, 2010, at Level Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Brian James officiating. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 8, 2010, and Friday, July 9, 2010.
