BARRY "BUFFALO" WHITFIELD, age 50, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, June 25, 2015. Mr. Whitfield was born on February 18, 1965 in Hall County, Georgia to Billy Joe Whitfield and Brenda England Green. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church. Mr. Whitfield was a carpenter. In addition to his parents, survivors include his loving wife of 10 ½ years, Donna Moon Whitfield, Alto, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Brittany and Michael Sanders, Kingswood, WV; daughter, Sarah Lovejoy, Loganville, GA; sons, B. J. Whitfield, Commerce, GA, Justin Lee, Alto, GA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Donna and Tony Simmons, Alto, GA, Daphne and Randy Stiles, Clermont, GA, Tiffany Green and Michael Pugh, Lexington GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Matt and Jere Lynn Whitfield, Cleveland, GA, David and Deborah Green, Washington, GA, Heath and Jennifer Green, Pearson, FL; four grandchildren. Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 pm on Sunday, June 28, 2015 at Rock Springs Baptist Church, Lula, Georgia with Rev. Chris Porter officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm on Saturday, June 27, 2015. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Rock Springs Baptist Church Youth Ministry, 747 Rock Springs Road, Lula, GA 30554.
