Arthur A. Umbehant

ARTHUR ANDREW UMBEHANT, age 84, of Habersham County, GA, died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at a private care facility. Mr. Umbehant was born on June 12, 1922 in Banks County, Georgia. He was a son of the late Larkin and Emma Della Pitts Umbehant and was also preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Umbehant, and brothers, Otis, Elmo, and Everett Umbehant. Mr. Umbehant was a member of the Oak Grove Church of God in Baxley, GA and was a truck driver and farmer. Survivors include: his daughters: Mary Helen York, Eastanollee, GA; Della Florine Schaefer, Duluth, GA; Juanita Merlene Williams, Baxley, GA; his son: Arthur Guy Unbehant**, Glenwood, GA; his sister: Christine Elrod, Anderson, SC; his brothers: Glenn Umbehant, Demorest, GA; Gene Umbehant, Mt. Airy, GA; 8 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren. Private family services will be held. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made.
