Antonio Colon Negron

Antonio Colon Negron, age 89, of Demorest, Georgia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, July 1, 2011, at a local hospital following an extended illness. Mr. Negron was born in Puerto Rico, on May 10, 1922, to the late Isidoro Colon and Manuela Negron. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step-son, Epifanio Rodriguez, Jr. Mr. Negron was a member of the Prince of Peace Foursquare Church. Survivors include his wife, Virginia Berrios Negron, Demorest, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Dorcas and Joel Rodriguez, Norcross, GA; son and daughter-in-law, Samuel and Doris Negron, Demorest, GA; sons, Antonio Negron, Jr., New York and Manuel Negron, Raleigh, NC; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren and many other relatives. Memorial services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2011, at the Prince of Peace Foursquare Church, in Mt. Airy, GA with Pastor Samuel Negron, Pastor Joel Rodriguez and Pastor Luis Ramirez officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 3, 2011, at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that all donations be made to the Prince of Peace Foursquare Church "Hope Center" , C/O of Samuel Negro, 128 Savannah Ridge Trail, Demorest, GA 30535.
