Anthie Parson Tatum, age 81, of Lula, GA died on Friday, March 24, 2006 at her residence. Mrs. Tatum was born September 12, 1924 in Banks County, GA. She was preceded in death by her parents: Tom and Etta Nunn Parson, her husband: Walter Tatum, 3 sisters: Curtis Westmoreland, Alice Taylor, Janie Poole, and 6 brothers: Henry, Lamertine, Travis, Tilden, Luther, and Hoyt Parson. Mrs. Tatum was a homemaker and a member of Silver Shoals Baptist Church. Survivors include: 1 daughter: Elizabeth Ann Nix, Lula, GA, 2 sons: James Tatum, Alto, GA, Larry Gene Tatum, Lula, GA, 2 sisters: Pauline Arflin, Belton, SC and Ella Mae Herbert, Gillsville, GA, 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren . Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Monday, March 27, 2006 at Silver Shoals Baptist Church with Rev. Robert Nix, Dr. Sam Parson and Rev. Perry Smith officiating. Burial will be in the Silver Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 25, 2006 from 7 to 9 p.m. and on Sunday, March 26, 2006 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9p.m. at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA. ARRANGEMENTS ARE IN THE CARE OF WHITFIELD FUNERAL HOME, SOUTH CHAPEL, BALDWIN, GA.
