Annie Ruth Stroud

ANNIE RUTH ANDREWS STROUD, age 83,of Cornelia, GA passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2009 at her residence. Born in Banks County, GA on August 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Dave and Nettie Brown Andrews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Orpha Ausburn and Mae Phillips and 4 brothers, Carson, Billy, Palmer and Cleo Andrews. Mrs. Stroud was a member at Lamar Christian Church. She was a homemaker and a loving, caring mother. Survivors include husband of 60 years, James C. Stroud, Cornelia, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Steve Gabrels, Clarkesville, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Debbie Stroud, Cornelia, GA and Ronnie and Pam Stroud, Martin, GA; brothers, Tommy Andrews, Toccoa, GA and Roy Lee Andrews, Dewey Rose; and one beloved granddaughter, Jill Gabrels, Clarkesville, GA. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Thursday, July 2, 2009 at the Lamar Christian Church with Rev. Mark Stroud and Pastor Bill Moody officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home at 6-9 p.m. July 1, 2009 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, GA.
