Annie Mae Meeks

Annie Mae Thomason Meeks, age 95, of Eustis, Florida and formerly of Habersham County, died on Monday, February 19, 2007 in Eustis, FL. Ms. Meeks was born July 9, 1911 in Habersham County, GA to the late Marion J and Ila Sloan Thomason. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert F "R F" Meeks, three brothers: Leslie J, Rhoda M, and Harry Lee Thomason. Ms. Meeks attended Hazel Creek Baptist Church and she was a homemaker, loving wife and mother. Survivors include: her son: Jack Meeks of Eustis, FL; two sisters: Blanch Tavender of Charleston, SC; Helen King of Demorest, GA; three brothers: Charles Thomason of Columbus, GA; Grady Thomason of Grayson, GA; Bill Thomason of Mt. Airy, GA; three Grandchildren; eight great Grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Sunday February 25, 2007 at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel, Demorest, GA with Rev. Billy Burrell officiating. Burial will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive Friends at Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday, February 24, 2007. Arrangements are in the care of Whitfield Funeral Home, North Chapel of Demorest, GA.
