Ann Nations Graveside services for Ann M. Nations, 83 of Baldwin, will be held at 3 p.m. Tuesday, October 8,2013 at Level Grove Cemetery with Pastor Terry Rice officiating. Mrs. Nations died October 6, 2013 at Habersham Medical Center. Born February 26, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Sam and Lillie McDuffie, the oldest of seven McDuffie children. Mrs. Nations was a member of Baldwin Baptist Church. Before retirement, she was employed at JC Penney's in Gainesville, where she audited for the store. She was the district manager for Family Dollar Stores setting up new stores in the area, and served as a store manager for Top Dollar, Warehouse World and Family Dollar Stores in Cornelia and Toccoa. Later in life, she helped peel potatoes at Cornelia Plaza. Mrs. Nations was a very thoughtful and giving person, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She loved working with children in early years and was a Brownie Scout and Girl Scout Leader. She was also a Band Booster President for South Habersham High School in the late 60's. Mrs. Nations loved working for the Lord, over the years, which included serving as a Sunbeam Director, VBS director, Sunday School teacher, and a G.A.'s and Y.W.A.'s leader. She was also a WMU president for the Habersham County Association. Survivors include her daughter, Jayne DeMore; grandchildren, Ginger, Trent and Tracy DeMore; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Anna, and Chandler; Richard DeMore whom she called her son for many years. Other very special people in her life: Loretta, Lisa, Rhonda, Annette, Kristen, Bobby, Sara, Taylor, Tonya, Courtney and Russell.
