Ann Jones Cathey

ANN JONES CATHEY, age 58, of Alto, Georgia, passed away on Monday, November 24, 2014 following an extended illness. Mrs. Cathey was born on August, 17 1956 in Demorest, Georgia. She was a member of Mud Creek Baptist Church, and was a loving and dedicated Wife, Mother, and Grandmother. She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Jones Armour; brother, Donald Armour; Grandparents, Raleigh and Ruth Jones who reared Mrs. Cathey in their home. Survivors include, her loving husband of 40 years, Lloyd Cathey, Alto, GA.; step-father, Ralph Armour, Cornelia, GA.; daughters and sons-in-law, Melissa Haynes and Kevin, Alto, GA., Mandy Leggett and Ben, Smyrna, GA.; son and daughter-in-law, Josh and Allison Cathey, of Lula, GA.; and 9 grandchildren. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3:00 p.m., Wednesday, November 26, 2014 at Whitfield Funeral Home, South Chapel, Baldwin, Georgia with Rev. Tim Beasley, Rev. J.R. Elrod, and Rev. Ray Turpin officiating. Interment to follow in the Mud Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., on Tuesday, November 25, 2014.
